Description according to label:

William Thomson, 1824 - 1907, Lord Kelvin. Born in Belfast, Thomson came to Glasgow aged six after the death of his Scottish mother. A brilliant mathematician and physicalist best known for the development of the Kelvin scale of temperature measurment. His business interests included the laying of the 1st transatlantic cables in 1858. He is buried in Westminster Abbey close to Sir Isaac Newton.

A traditionally hand crafted copper coloured ale brewed with a combination of Marris Otter and Crystal malts flavoured with Slovenian hops and fresh ginger root producing a distinctive nose and a spicy finish.
